IF and this is a huge IF, a child (someone who is prepubescent) does something inappropriate for their developmental stage in life the very last outcome should involve legal trouble. Putting anyone especially children on a sex offender registry or other criminal registry is unacceptable. Adolescents (pubescent individuals) are often lumped in with children and while some have a capacity to understand legal vs illegal, it ought to bother everyone else that no programs exists anywhere in the world to help all adolescents find, build, and maintain healthy and fulfilling relationships or at least explore curiosity in safe environments.

Maybe CRSOL should send them all the data on how ineffective a registry really is and mention all the lawsuits they has been filed and won.

Why don’t we pursue the possibility of removing all misdemeanor convicted offenders? It seems a reasonable and achievable goal in the midst of 6000 federal prisoners being released. This is simple and straight-forward, instead of these minor achievements that we strive for.
